Letting go

Poem: Letting go

I don’t care

I don’t care

It’s not even there!

And I’m not going to swear!

Oh, It’s so freeing not to care

I do not care of it not even one bit!

Oh, it’s so liberating to not give a…thruppenny bit!

Review: Letting go

So much passion is expressed here, I can almost feel the words leaping off the page.

This suggests to me that the poet, at some point did care about this thing, whatever it is. But it has gone. The poet has stopped thinking of it, is rejoicing and is liberated

Well done poet for not swearing. A great little message of letting go of things that are not needed to be worrying about. My guessing it’s not easy to do, no, not even… one bit.

I smile at the rhyming slang of S@*T and the fun substitute with ‘thruppenny bit’ at the end. A nice humorous touch.
