Intelligent Lou

Poem: Intelligent Lou

She is so prim and proper
as she chooses to hover

Too yucky to think of only just a touch

It’s not asking for much
Using toilets that are modern, hygienic,
offer morning greetings, sing opera and self-flush

She’s very smart

To her, cleanliness is an art
She likes the polite,

the clean and the clever,
the clever clogs and the clever bogs

Review: Intelligent Lou

A great intro. I get a clear picture of what ‘Lou’ is like.

What an interesting character.

I smile at what is said at the beginning of the poem with “when she chooses to hover” What is she, with her bumble bee or witch-like ways?

I then understand when the nature of the hovering is revealed. I get it , she’s not weird or mysterious but then I discover more.

Not only does ‘Intelligent Lou’ behave in the correct manner by adhering to customary codes of social norms, she exceeds the standard etiquette and has even higher expectations. Is she a bit snobby and desires this only for herself or is she a bit of a socialist and would potentially campaign for this to be the norm for all?

Morning greetings?

Singing opera?

Self-flushing?

That’s a bit much isn’t it?

Is this how things are due to ‘evolve’ in this Artificial Intelligent world?

Perhaps we, as humans, are all destined to hover with our insurmountable collection of passwords, digital pets and bit coin credit? On the flip side it’s better than digging around ‘cat like’ under a tree or a bush. That, in itself sounds like it could be an opening scene in an opera!

An entertaining little poem with a clean and clever conclusion.
