Review: Good conversation – haiku

Haiku’s are great little engaging poetic devices.

So much is said using few yet effective words to communicate.

It doesn’t beat around the bush, it gets to the point.

A haiku offers clarity in an otherwise busy, overloaded wordy and visual environment with clichéd messages.

Í breathe a sigh of relief when I read a haiku.

Talking to self ? Hmm. Don’t all of us do that but keep the words neatly tucked away as private thoughts? Sometimes the same thoughts are shared with others? Sometimes the thoughts barely get a chance to settle as they are swiftly replaced with competing distractions.

The poet only finds it strange when others hear what those thoughts are.

What could this mean?

Is it new for the poet to air the words?

The poet is confident about the ‘one – versation’ nature of the ‘Good conversation’ poem. A great title, yes. Good is good but I’d say to the poet, step out and connect your words with others, try an open-mic and more conversations and connections could arise?

Inspiration could be found, and more poems may come your way?

Is it too much of a ‘safe place’ to keep creativity cooped up?

Yes, is what I’d say to that.

If you have a voice, use it poet!
